The Blink of an Eye
It seems like just yesterday
I held you in my arms,
A tiny baby, so small and frail,
With eyes so full of charms.
I watched you grow and learn,
From crawling to walking to talking,
And every day I marveled at
The wonder of your growing.
But now it seems like just a blink
And you’re all grown up,
With dreams and plans of your own,
Ready to take on the world.
I know I’ll miss you when you go,
But I’m so proud of the young woman
You’ve become.
So go forth and live your life,
And know that I’ll always be here
To love and support you,
