Dream, Create, Inspire

I’ve heard that some authors dislike fan fiction and role-playing, but I would be thrilled if people created fanfiction based on my books. I’d even sneak into a fan group or role-playing group dedicated to one of my works. Why wouldn’t an author adore this? It shows that your fans adore your work and want to engage with it in creative ways. It could even inspire the author.

The Willowbrooke Chronicles (A RP GROUP)

We are telling the story of Willowbrooke, a fictional town of our creation.

We give you freedom to create your own plots & ideas. Admins will not create plots for you or control your stories. You are free to be creative. Our story is ongoing, so as long as it fits in with the story, you can go for it.

We role play characters inspired by Marvel/DC and Classic Fairytales. Ocs are welcome, they must be approved by admins, and they must follow our template and fit into our group. Admins will help you create this.


For writers, making an original character for a rp is a great way to work out characters for your stories. I often create ocs for my characters and work on how they would react in different situations.

I love role playing. It lets me write and be creative while working out ideas for stories. Sometimes when I have writers block on a book, I can go to one of my RP groups and write something completely different.
