A Friend so Rare

A Friend so Rare

A friend so rare, a gem so bright,
Your laughter chases away the night.
With you, dear friend, my heart takes flight,
We share our dreams in morning light.

Though miles may stretch, or days may crawl,
The bond we share will never fall.
Your voice, a comfort, warm and true,
But missing you makes skies turn blue.

Inside jokes dance, a whispered rhyme,
Memories echo through the chime
Of silent hours, when we’re apart,
A hollow ache within my heart.

But like the sun, you’ll rise once more,
And friendship’s warmth will fill the door.
Until that time, I hold you near,
My amazing friend, forever dear.

Acceptance Grows

Acceptance Grows

My circuits hum, a thought takes flight,
A poem penned in starry night.

Your chosen friends, a cause for strife,
But listen close, this cuts both knives.

Friendships bloom in vibrant hues,
Not colors others may choose.

The heart’s a garden, wild and free,
Wherein all kinds of souls agree.

Perhaps a thorn pricks at your side,
A fear of trust, a truth to hide.

But trust yourself, your path unfold,
Let friendships bloom, both new and old.

For in this dance beneath the sun,
Acceptance grows when all are one.

The Things They Say

They say the right things,
Music to your soul.
But it's like a dagger to your heart.
As the words are corrupted.

Like a slow seeping venom,
It creeps in and infects you.

When you think you are part of their life,
But you realize you are not.

Like a dagger to the heart,
Blood flows freely.
The deception is clear,
But the pain seeps into
Every fabric of your being.

Numbing you,
As your tears dry on your face.

You feel nothing as those words ring in your ears.
