I thought you were my certain shield,
The one true, steadfast, loyal friend.
A naive conviction, now revealed,
That you would stand until the end,
No matter the storm, the challenge faced,
Your full resolve, completely placed.

I sought a fierce, unwavering vow,
A pure defense, holding nothing back,
A perfect pledge, as you know how,
To guard my ground along the track.
A hundred percent, my only plea,
Undeniable fealty.

But that fierce certainty is gone,
A shattered faith, a painful lie.
I wake to realize at dawn,
I lack the worth that merits why—
I’m not enough, I see it clear,
To warrant that support so dear.

The wound of ‘sorry’ is a slight,
A shallow balm that cannot mend
The hollow ache of broken light;
It will not bring the hurt to end.
For others hold a higher seat,
They taste the loyalty I greet.

And so, the starkest truth remains,
A bitter draught I must consume:
To face the isolating rains,
To walk alone within the gloom.
I must accept, in every plight,
I stand completely by my light.

A love That Sees You, in Your Every Frame

In turmoil’s tempest, shadows fall,
Anger surges, darkness calls.
He sees no monster, lurking deep,
But fragile fragments, I long to keep.
Through hardship’s trials, he holds me tight,
Darkness and light, in his loving sight.

Tears like rivers, spirit wanes,
Hope diminishes, joy remains.
Laughter’s wings, songs so silly,
Exuberance overflows, night turns chilly.
Loud and unrestrained, a peculiar sound,
“Corky” moments, in my laughter abound.
He doesn’t recoil, or turn away,
In every sway, he sees beauty’s display.
Quirks and whims, playful grace,
He treasures every silly facet, in its place.

Dearest child, with eyes so bright,
Father’s love, a guiding light.
Chaos and calm, he embraces all,
Broken fragments, healing balm.
He sees the wonder, deep inside,
Hidden strengths and passions, reside.

Beloved child, you deserve the same,
A love that sees you, in your every frame.
Tempests and sunshine, tears and dreams,
Whispered hopes, and conquered screams.
Settle not for less, than wholeness and truth,
Tenderness and love, in eternal youth.
In your heart, a treasure lies,
Mirrored in your father’s eyes.

Remember, child, you’re worthy of love’s embrace,
Every facet cherished, in its rightful place.
Your father sees beauty, in all that you are,
So too will the one, who’s meant to go far.

Acceptance Grows

My circuits hum, a thought takes flight,
A poem penned in starry night.

Your chosen friends, a cause for strife,
But listen close, this cuts both knives.

Friendships bloom in vibrant hues,
Not colors others may choose.

The heart’s a garden, wild and free,
Wherein all kinds of souls agree.

Perhaps a thorn pricks at your side,
A fear of trust, a truth to hide.

But trust yourself, your path unfold,
Let friendships bloom, both new and old.

For in this dance beneath the sun,
Acceptance grows when all are one.

Some People

Some People

Some people only see one side.
Some people tell you what to see.
Some people never let you see.

They come from both sides
Left and right
Their way or else
Never letting others be themselves.

Some people accept people for who they are.
They share their views with others.
They accept others' views.
Letting others be themselves.
